Is it cache? Is it in k3b's app directory or the cache dir?
KDevelop's class store
If you use KDevelop's class store and have parsed Qt and KDE headers, that's an easy 50 megs right there (plus however big the c++ standard library might be too). For those of you who said your .kde is bigger than 10megs, is that because of KDevelop?
Just curious as some of those dirs do seem kind of big.
thumbnails
My ~/.kde/share/thumbnails dir is 24Mb on it's own. Is there any way to control this? I searched through the Control Center to no avail.

Hmmm I would think it would be in Configure File Manager (in kcontrol) but I guess not.
Found it
The thumbnails dir is generated and filled by Gwenview. Maybe that's a gwenview bug - it should go in ~/.kde/cache-username/gwenview instead? I'll contact the author.

Finding the large files
If you go into your .kde directory and run:
du -cks * |sort -rn |head -11
This will give you a list of the largest directories
Then to drill down some more running the following, with a quick scan you should be able to see what directories are very large (multi-MB).
du -h ~/.kde
?
mine is 32 mb... quite big?!?!?
