Yes, this is working copy of KWord 2.0 alpha running on KDE 4 under MS Windows, compiled during KDE-On-Windows meeting in Berlin. I must say local Trolltech's office is great environment for developing.

KWord Page Layout

I am not a coder, just a daily Word user. The page layout as it shows in the screenshot looks just fine. There is a text box outline to indicate the the text framing which is quite sufficient. A top and bottom page edge view is not necessary on the type page view. It may be necessary on the print page preview, to make sure the borders etc. are going to look the way you want, and have the proportions etc. when the page is printed.

The typing page does not have to 100% represent a WYSIWYG of the printed page, when typing.

Kword sheet?

Does Kword have sheet in middle station and not without space on top and bottom to toolbars/other sheets?

It still looks little 'bad' when there is no space.... more space to left and right was good choise but still needed top/bottom too :-/

Why would you want space at the top above the sheet?
I personally think its ugly and I actively avoided getting space there.

It seems like it's not

It seems like it's not possible to see the top of the page.
It doesn't have to be more than 5px or something like that.

That aside, it's awesome work! and I'm looking forward of pointing my windows friends in the direction of koffice.
